Republic Bank Launches Sme Toolkit Caribbean For Small And Medium Enterprises
On Thursday, March 4, 2010, at 17:00h Republic Bank (Guyana) Limited, hosted a ceremony to formally launch our Toolkit for Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) at our Head Office, Promenade Court, 155-156 New Market Street, Georgetown.
The SME Toolkit is a project of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group. The SME Toolkit offers free business management information and training for small businesses/small and medium enterprises (SME’s) on accounting and finance, business planning, human resources (HR), marketing and sales, operations, and information technology via the internet.
The programme included a Feature Address by Honourable Mr. Maniram Prashad, Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce along with remarks by Ms. Elvira Van Daele, Operations Officer - SME Toolkit Programme Manager for Latin America and the Caribbean and Mr. Edwin H. Gooding, Managing Director, Republic Bank (Guyana) Limited.

Republic Bank (Guyana) Limited will be launching its Customer Panel at 16:00h on February 25, 2010 at Promenade Court, 155-156 New Market Street, Georgetown.
The Republic Bank Customer Panel will serve as a mechanism to enable us to better understand our customers’ needs and expectations by engaging them in dialogue.
Through the customers’ insights, the Bank will obtain valuable feedback on service quality, customer satisfaction, identify new product opportunities and inform elements of our marketing and communications strategy.
We envision that this level of open communication will result in increased levels of customer satisfaction and a closer relationship with our customers.
Customers were selected from all branches across our network to serve on the panel.
With the introduction of the Customer Panel, Republic Bank continues its focus on improving the customer experience as we pursue our vision to be the financial institution of choice in the Caribbean.

Presentation Of Republic Bank /University Of Guyana Academic Achievement Awards
Republic Bank Limited announced the recipients of their 2009 University of Guyana Academic Achievement Awards at a simple ceremony held on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at 11:00 hrs. at the Republic Bank Limited, Promenade Court, 155-156 New Market Street, Georgetown. Ms. Loria-Mae Haywood earned the Republic Bank Limited Chairman's Award for the Best Graduating Student with a Bachelor's Degree in the Faculty of Social Sciences, G$150,000: (One hundred and fifty thousand Guyana dollars) and a plaque. Ms. Nicole Mohamed received the Republic Bank Limited Award for the Best Graduating Student with a Diploma in Banking and Finance, G$100,000: (One hundred thousand Guyana dollars) and a plaque.

Republic Bank Gives A Right Start To First-Borns Of 2010
On New Year’s Day, January 1, 2010, Republic Bank (Guyana) Limited honoured first-born babies in Berbice, Essequibo, Georgetown and Linden.
Each first-born received a visit from representatives of Republic Bank and RightStart Accounts will be established for each of the infants with a starting balance of $20,000. The mothers also each received a RightStart Baby Care Hamper valued at approximately $30,000.
