Guyana’s Top Performers For 2014 Rewarded For Their Academic Excellence Through Republic Bank’s Power To Make A Difference Initiative

The Top 2014 performers at the National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA), Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) and Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) were honoured for their academic excellence at the Republic Bank (Guyana) Limited Academic Achievement Awards Ceremony.

The special presentation ceremony was held on Thursday, January 15, 2014 at the Bank’s Head Office, New Market Street, Georgetown where monetary gifts and plaques were presented to:

  • Mr. Jorrel De Santos (NGSA)
  • Ms. Elisa Hamilton (CSEC)
  • Ms. Deowattie Narine (CAPE).

The development of youth in Guyana is one of the Bank’s primary focus and through its Power to Make a Difference Initiative, ‘The Power to Learn and Succeed’, it has maintained its tradition of rewarding the academic achievement of the country’s top performers for the annual national examinations.

Among those attending the ceremony were representatives from the Ministry of Education along with the Principals and Class Teachers of the respective schools attended by the awardees.

Congratulations are extended to the Mr. De Santos, Ms. Hamilton and Ms. Narine and those who assisted them in their achievement of this significant milestone.
