The following information is required for outgoing wire transfers:

Full name and address of the beneficiary
Account number for the beneficiary
Name and full address of the destination bank
Swift Code for the destination bank
An Intermediary Bank is required for payments in US Dollars to a beneficiary in a country with a different base currency e.g. US Dollars going to a beneficiary in China. The Intermediary Bank information can be obtained from the beneficiary.
A reason/purpose for the transfer which should be very clear. e.g.

  • Family remittance
  • Payment for vehicle inv#1234
The following examples are considered vague descriptions for the reason/purpose
  • Payment on invoice (invoice details such as invoice number and item(s) purchased is required)
  • Payment for goods (state item or list a few examples where it’s a variety of items)

The minimum amounts which can be dispatched are as follows:
  • USD (United States Dollar) - $100.00
  • CAD (Canadian Dollar) - $100.00
  • TTD (Trinidad & Tobago Dollar) - $100.00
  • BBD (Barbadian Dollar) - $100.00
  • XCD (Eastern Caribbean Dollar) - $100.00
  • EUR – (European Dollar) - $120.00
  • GBP – (British Pound) - $120.00
The following information is required for incoming wire transfers:

Complete name of remitter/sender
Address of remitter/sender (name of country must be included)
Clear and concise reason/purpose of the wire transfer
Beneficiary name and Republic Bank 12-digit account number.
Note: You can also include the account type (Savings or Chequing) with the account number e.g. 000000000000SAV or 000000000000CHQ for more efficient processing.

Incoming wire transfers received without the above information will require investigation and amendments resulting in a delay to the processing of funds to the beneficiary’s account.

Outgoing wire transfers: GY$7,000.00

Note: Additional charges are applicable for outgoing wire transfers when an intermediary bank is required.

GY$500.00 – Amounts US$100.00 or less
GY$5,000.00 – Amounts above US$100.00

Note: Incoming transfers that require payment to another local bank will also incur Local Draft or G-EFT charges.
