Current rate: 0.082%

Two (2) free debits are allowed for each GY$25,000 minimum monthly credit balance.  For every additional debit a charge of GY$25 – minimum per month GY$500.

The current minimum overdraft interest for this account is GY$1,000. 
What you will need

Before visiting our branches, ensure you have the following documents:

New to Republic Bank?

One (1) form of Identification - valid Passport or Identification Card
Proof of Address – Driver’s Licence, or Utility Bill (Light, Water or Landline bill issued within the last 8 months)
Proof of Income – Job Letter/Pay slip or Income & Expenditure Statement if self-employed
TIN Certificate - (also required for foreign nationals working in Guyana)
The required amount to open the account (GY$5,000)

For non-nationals
In addition to the above, the following item must be presented to establish an account for a Foreign National:
